Rhys Turns One- A Birthday In Lockdown

Rhys Turns One

Untitled-1.jpg

Today marked a very memorable day in the Captured Life household. I was supposed to be photographing a wedding but the big virus that shall not be named saw otherwise. Instead I got to see my baby boy turn one and celebrate his first birthday together, and you know what? it was absolutely fantastic. A birthday that marks the start of many adventures but also a birthday which will very likely be one that goes down in history

A Birthday In Lockdown

A lot of people that know me will know that I was devastated when I heard the news of lockdown. Not just because it’s result would put immense strain on the wedding industry but because I knew that it would be inevitable that we’d be celebrating Rhys’ birthday in lockdown. I’ve stressed so much about it for weeks. Stressing that it would be awful for him and completely rubbish compared to everything we’d originally planned. But all that stress was for nothing as it’s been such a fabulous day. We even had cake for breakfast. Rather than continuing to stress over the little things that can’t be helped I instead grabbed my camera, some positivity and documented his day from start to finish.

I hope these photos of Rhys’ day bring joy to everyone just as much as they do our little family

Stay safe guys and keep smiling

:)
