A collection of all my latest adventures from weddings to travel and everything else inbetween
Whitley Hall is a venue I fall in love with more an more every time I visit. It's such a lovely place perfectly located on the outskirts of Sheffield, far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city without being too hard to get to.
You guys are loving the fact I’m holding mini sessions again and you’ve been filling up the spaces in my diary with some truly gorgeous family photography sessions which has involved some serious cuteness overloads like this session with another one of my past couples Matt and Charlotte .
With things being much quieter this year on the wedding side of things, thanks to the virus that shall not be named, I’ve been filling up the spaces in my diary with some truly gorgeous family photography sessions instead.
Believe it or not, the evening dance floor antics are most likely to be your favourite photographs taken from your day. On a packed out dance floor, filled with all your loved ones having the time of their lives, heels will have been probably been removed, ties loosened and everyone’s hair will have well and truly been let down.
Today marked a very memorable day in the Captured Life household. I was supposed to be photographing a wedding but the big virus that shall not be named saw otherwise. Instead I got to see my baby boy turn one and celebrate his first birthday together and you know what? it was absolutely fantastic. A birthday that marks the start of many adventures but also a birthday which will very likely be one that goes down in history
Kelham Island Museum is seriously one of my favourite Sheffield city centre wedding venues. It's such an unusual venue and quirky venue, ideal for the wedding which wants to step away from the traditional and add a bit of quirky, industrial character to their day.
Sheffield is such a bright, vibrant and creative city it goes without saying that it’s the perfect place to have a chilled out city centre wedding and the Millennium galleries is the perfect venue choice to do so. A venue I feel very lucky to be a recommended supplier at.
Dalduff Farm in Aryeshire… where do I even start. It's such a gorgeous, intimate venue with brilliant staff, I honestly can not rate it enough. Set amongst beautiful Scottish farm land its perfect for small weddings with couples who want a true chilled out vibe with a bit of Scottish beauty thrown in and if the weather plays nice you can legally marry outside in the beautiful gardens too. Totally a dream venue.
Engagement shoot, Pre-Wedding shoot, E-Shoot, Couple Shoot, call it what you want the question is always the same….What’s the point?
If you’re one of my past or current couples who have booked one of my engagement shoots then you’ll know why I encourage all couples to have one. Not only do the final images look awesome around your home, but there are so many other benefits in having one. To help explain what these benefits are I’ve popped this little blog together to show you why they are much more of a good thing rather than a time waster.
Oxleaze Barn in Gloucestershire has pretty much become my favourite venue of 2018. Set in amongst the Cotswolds with its own farm land, gorgeous views and gardens it's the perfect haven for any couple wanting an intimate country wedding
The Ashes Barns, a lovely 20 minute drive away from my front door is a venue I have loved for a very very long time and is a venue I am very lucky to be a recommended supplier of.
Whirlowbrook Hall, just outside of Sheffield City centre is one of those hidden little venue which is such a gem of a place. With huge, gorgeous gardens and woodland to explore, it’s a photographers dream and the perfect venue for super chilled weddings with a bit of adventure thrown in.
Sheffield Town Hall and Sheffield City centre will always have a firm place in my heart after spending 4 years of my younger days studying at Sheffield Hallam University. Such a bright, vibrant and creative city it goes without saying that it’s the perfect place to have a chilled out city centre wedding, and I think anyone who is a snooker and music fan, this post will be right up your street.
Goyt Valley, Errwood Hall Ruins and the surround area of Errwood Reservoir is an absolute gem of a location right on my Buxton doorstep. Ideal for all you adventurers out there, it makes a perfect backdrop for engagement shoot.
